How to Prepare for Your Tempo™ Welcome Session

What can I expect during this session?

During this free, live, one-on-one video call, your coach will personally guide you through the process of setting up your Tempo™ platform and show you how to use it.
The call should take about 30 minutes and may be recorded for quality and training purposes.
If you have specific questions about your Tempo™ platform, the Lilly Tempo™ Support helpline is available for support. Call 1-855-LILLY-TEMPO (1-855-545-5983).

If you would like a family member or a friend to participate in the session alongside you for added support,
your coach will be more than happy to welcome them on the call.

Step 1 – You will need the following for our session:

Your Tempo Pen™
Your Tempo Smart Button™*
Your Tempo Blood Glucose Meter™ (BGM)* and/or Dexcom G6 or G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System
Your smartphone (Apple iOS or Android OS) with Internet connection
A second Internet-connected device with a camera and speaker/headphones and web browser (i.e., desktop computer, laptop, smartphone, or tablet)**
Your insulin dosing regimen and share code given to you by your healthcare provider

* This item is included in your Tempo™ Welcome Kit.

** You will need to set up and use the TempoSmart™ App on your smartphone during the session, so we suggest that you use another Internet-connected device with a camera for the call, such as a desktop computer, laptop, another smartphone or tablet.

Step 2 – Download the TempoSmart™ App to your smartphone.

Search for and download the TempoSmart™ App for free from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Your coach will walk you through the setup process at the start of your session.

If you’re unable to download the App prior to your session, please have your Apple ID or Google ID and password handy so that your coach can help guide you through the download and setup process.

Step 3 – REVIEW THE FOLLOWING DEVICE REQUIREMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR JOINING THE SESSION:

IF USING A COMPUTER TO JOIN THE SESSION:

On the date and time of your session, click on the link provided in the confirmation email to join the video call with your coach. You’ll be taken to a web page where you can choose how you would like to join the video call.
Select Continue on this browser. This will automatically open your session and permit you to join the video call as a guest.
Enter your name and then click Join now to begin your video call.

Minimum system requirements for Teams on your computer:

- Operating system: Windows 8.1 or higher / macOS 10.14 or higher
- Supported browsers: Edge RS2 or later, Chrome 72+, Firefox 87+, Safari 14+

IF USING A SMARTPHONE OR TABLET TO JOIN THE SESSION:

If you’re using a smartphone or tablet to join your session, you’ll need to download and install the Microsoft Teams app. We suggest downloading the app before your session.

To download the app:

Click on the following link: Get the Teams app. You’ll be taken to a web page where you can download a mobile version of the app.
Tap Download for mobile. Another web page will appear where can download the version of Teams compatible with your device.
Tap Download Teams. This will redirect you to the Google Play or Apple store to download Teams. Follow the instructions to install the app. You will be prompted to enter your name and sign into the app. Skip this step and exit the app.

To join the session:

On the designated date and time of your session, click on the session link provided in your confirmation email. This will launch the Teams app.
Enter your name and then tap Join meeting to begin your video call with your coach.

Minimum system requirements for Teams on your smartphone or tablet:

- Operating system: the four most recent major versions of Android /
  the two most recent major versions of iOS

If you don’t have your Welcome Kit or your Tempo Pen™ in time for your call, please reschedule your session for a later date.

Please note that it can take 48 hours or longer for your pharmacy to fill your prescription.

WILL I RECEIVE ANY REMINDERS LEADING UP TO MY SESSION?

You’ll be receiving two additional reminders of your Welcome Session by email (and by text message if you have opted in to receive them):

One day before the scheduled date and time

30 minutes before the start of the session

The email reminders will include a link that you can click on to join the call.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL MY SESSION?

To reschedule or cancel your session, please consult the confirmation email that was sent to you,
which provides links to help you manage your booking.
